Nanodentistry is defined as the science and technology of diagnosing, treating and preventing oral and dental diseases, relieving pain, preserving and improving dental health using nanostructured material. Nanotechnology has various applications in dentistry, including dentition renaturalization, therapy for dentin hypersensitivity, complete orthodontic realignment in a single visit, covalently bonding diamondized enamel, enhancing properties of root canal sealers, and continuous oral health maintenance using mechanical . Nanomaterials used in the dental filling, polishing of the enamel surface to prevent caries, also used as implant materials that are more effective than the conventional materials. Some of the nanoparticles act as antimicrobial agent thus prevent bacterial growth.
